The last week passed like a flash. On Saturday we went to Seven Sisters, which is 2 hours away from Brighton. Seven Sisters are huge white lime cliffs at the sea. Behind the cliffs there is a beautiful and impressive landscape, which passed as we walked from the Bus stop to the cliffs. Well, the walk should rather be described as "hike" or even a mountain climb. There were free-ranged animals like sheep and cows, which watched us passing. We took plenty of gorgeous pictures of us and the lush countryside.

As we came back to Brighton the weather was still warm and sunny. So I decided spontaneously to visit Brighton Royal Pavillion Palace.

Monday was a Bank holiday, which I - though the weather was fine - just partly was able to enjoy. I spent several hours to get my website recovered: It was hacked on Saturday and I had no more access to my own webspace!

At the college I got a new teacher or rather changed the class because Franky, my dear teacher of the first three weeks, left the college. Besides, we got some new students again.

On Tuesday I had to say farewell to Lotta: She went to Sweden to visit her father. So since then we are a pure male-household :-)

On Wednesday, Oli cooked his favourte dish: His special Spaghetti Carbonara. Hmmmmm...it was delicious!

On Thursday I visited Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, where I learned quite a few interesting things about the history of Brighton. After the musem I walked with some freinds to the Moksha for trying Oli's favourite cake: A carrot torte.

Furthermore, I had several "exhausting" pub- and club nights this week. But the best night was - without a doubt - the last Friday. We went to another Karaoke pub called "The Green House" and had really a lot of fun there (thanks to Oli's shots^^).

On Friday we celebrated the farewell of some friends at the beach. As it became colder and colder, we walked to Brighton Center (after a short stopover at the Wick-Inn). There we met some other guys at a pub, with whom I later went to "The Kulture Club". The funny thing was that the whole group consited of French people - except me. So I was able to refresh my knowledge about the French language. In fact, we talked the whole night in an English-French-German-mixture (they also wanted to brush up their German), which was a lot of fun. After some hours of "interlingual-exchange" and translation-exercises (and a couple of beer), my brain gave up and I mixed up 3 languages in one sentence (what was even more hilarious).

On Saturday we went to a Karaoke-bar on the Brighton Pier. At midnight we left and marched toward Brighton's Main Street, which is crowdy all night long.

Today we had a really beautiful sunday. It was really hot, and we spent the day at the beach.

After I told Oli and Lotta quite a lot about typical (South-West-) German meals, they wanted to try our national dish No.1: Linsen and Spätzle with Saitenwürste :-)

The problem was that they have neither our flour, nor the typical German Altmeister-vinegar, nor Saitenwürste (or Wiener) over here.

However, this did not stop us to try it with similar ingredients. And the result...

...well, it looked pretty good and tasted...let's just say: "different" ;-)

The last 3 days I was pretty "occupied" - every day another event...

1.) Monday: Film night @Regency College

I don't remember the title, but it was more or less nonsense... However, a good lough, though - and good to understand as well.

After the film we went to the "Wick-Inn", which in the meantime already became sort of our favourite pub. This night, there was a pub quiz. We named our team "The Krauts", as our team consists almost only of German (-speaking) members. It was a lot of fun, the English people behave quite different on such things, not so "tensed up" ("verspannt") as we Germans. Anyway, as there were a lot of questions on the UK history and UK TV series etc., we hardly had no chance. But for us, just listening to the questions was a good exercise. And as the English teams even didn't know when the Berlin Wall fell, we were satisfied again - in a German quiz, they would have had no chance, I'm sure about that ;-)

Finally, we even didn't win the "booby prize" (Trostpreis) - a native-speaking team was even worse then we were!

2.) Tuesday: Oli's birthday party

It was nothing planned, actually we (Lotta, Oli and me) just wanted to barbecue. As we came back from the "Somerfield" (supermarket), Oli got a call, and 15 minutes later his friend Tim, also a teacher, came around. We had just finished our dinner as some girls from Lottas Uni dropped in by surprise. And then the chaos began^^ I haven't laughed so much for the last 5 months...
The day after, Oli and Lotta's flat looked like if it's been hit by a bomb...

3.) BBQ at the beach, Wick-Inn & Party at the "Digital"

On Wednesday, Claudia from the College organised a BBQ for all students at the beach. It was really funny, although we had to cope with the fact that we had no "BBQ-tools" at all (except several grills and a big bread knife)...altogether, a nice event to come to know each other better.

After the BBQ we went to "our" Wick-Inn until it was

late enough for the "Digital". The Digital is one of several bigger clubs in Brighton, and it's well-known for it's high-tech sound-system. In fact, I think I've never heard such a high qualitative sound in such a ear-splitting (ohrenbetäubend) volume before. It was incredible - altough I already heard a lot of different sound systems in my life, especially this year (Theo Stuttgart etc.).
Also different was the atmosphere. I really thought our favourite clubs on the Stuttgarter "Theo" are the maximum, but the vibes these people over here put you into are even better. However, we danced until our feet gave up...it was an unforgettable party night!

Thank god, today is "just" a normal day without special events - time to relax!

Everythings' gonna be alright *gg* - cheers and good night!
