The last 3 days I was pretty "occupied" - every day another event...
1.) Monday: Film night @Regency College
I don't remember the title, but it was more or less nonsense... However, a good lough, though - and good to understand as well.
After the film we went to the "Wick-Inn", which in the meantime already became sort of our favourite pub. This night, there was a pub quiz. We named our team "The Krauts", as our team consists almost only of German (-speaking) members. It was a lot of fun, the English people behave quite different on such things, not so "tensed up" ("verspannt") as we Germans. Anyway, as there were a lot of questions on the UK history and UK TV series etc., we hardly had no chance. But for us, just listening to the questions was a good exercise. And as the English teams even didn't know when the Berlin Wall fell, we were satisfied again - in a German quiz, they would have had no chance, I'm sure about that ;-)
Finally, we even didn't win the "booby prize" (Trostpreis) - a native-speaking team was even worse then we were!
2.) Tuesday: Oli's birthday party
It was nothing planned, actually we (Lotta, Oli and me) just wanted to barbecue. As we came back from the "Somerfield" (supermarket), Oli got a call, and 15 minutes later his friend Tim, also a teacher, came around. We had just finished our dinner as some girls from Lottas Uni dropped in by surprise. And then the chaos began^^ I haven't laughed so much for the last 5 months...
The day after, Oli and Lotta's flat looked like if it's been hit by a bomb...
3.) BBQ at the beach, Wick-Inn & Party at the "Digital"

On Wednesday, Claudia from the College organised a BBQ for all students at the beach. It was really funny, although we had to cope with the fact that we had no "BBQ-tools" at all (except several grills and a big bread knife)...altogether, a nice event to come to know each other better.
After the BBQ we went to "our" Wick-Inn until it was
late enough for the "Digital". The Digital is one of several bigger clubs in Brighton, and it's well-known for it's high-tech sound-system. In fact, I think I've never heard such a high qualitative sound in such a ear-splitting (ohrenbetäubend) volume before. It was incredible - altough I already heard a lot of different sound systems in my life, especially this year (Theo Stuttgart etc.).
Also different was the atmosphere. I really thought our favourite clubs on the Stuttgarter "Theo" are the maximum, but the vibes these people over here put you into are even better. However, we danced until our feet gave up...it was an unforgettable party night!
Thank god, today is "just" a normal day without special events - time to relax!
Everythings' gonna be alright *gg* - cheers and good night!
